SELF ASSESSMENT
Why engage in a self-assessment?
- It helps us determine if board performance is supporting Summit Legal Aid in fulfilling its mission
- Identify areas of strength, internal weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement
- Match individual and group strengths for Board service with the organizational needs
- Establish shared expectations
- Demonstrate accountability, internally and externally
- Commit to a shared process as a Board.
All board members should answer assessment questions
Upon receipt of all self-assessments, the Executive Committee will complete a Board Matrix to determine strengths for committee placement and gaps for new board member recruitment.
