About
Who We Are
We are a law firm for low-income people and victims of domestic violence. We provide free assistance and representation in civil, not criminal, cases. There is no cost for any of the services we provide. We believe that every person should have fair representation in court and the outcome of any case should not be determined by the ability to afford an attorney.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide civil justice to vulnerable people in need of legal help. Our services empower our clients by keeping families protected, homes secured, and finances stabilized.

Summit Legal Aid offers legal advice and representation to help people who are:
- Looking for work and need barriers cleared;
- Trying to rebuild their credit after falling into debt;
- Attempting to restore their mortgage;
- Victimized by abuse or discrimination; and
- Protecting their children.
Advancing Access to Justice
At Summit Legal Aid, we recognize and promote the collective and individual benefits for all clients, staff, and partners to seek equal justice for every person.

Contact & Office Locations

Legal Aid Changes Lives
Legal aid works to provide critical legal services to low-income residents in areas such as:
Protecting Families: Helping parents secure custody, child support or protection from domestic violence
Advocating for Veterans: Ensuring former service members receive the benefits and assistance they’ve earned
Preventing Homelessness: Representing individuals and families facing eviction or foreclosure
Supporting Workers & Businesses: Helping individuals with criminal records reenter the workforce and advising small business owners
Promoting Financial Security: Assisting seniors and others overcome barriers to accessing benefits they’ve earned, like Medicare and Social Security
We Can't Do This Alone
According to the Legal Services Corporation (LSC), low-income Americans receive little or no legal help for nearly 90% of their serious civil legal problems. The consequences impact families and communities, leading to homelessness, loss of income, and unsafe living conditions.
The Justice Gap affects our own community. Every day, many of our neighbors face serious civil legal problems without access to an attorney, from protecting their families to keeping a roof over their heads.
As a legal aid organization, we work to close this gap, but the need is far greater than the resources available. Community support, volunteers, and funding are essential to ensure that everyone has a fair chance at justice
