Washington, PA – Summit Legal Aid is proud to participate in WCCF Gives Day hosted by the Washington County Community Foundation.

WCCF Gives is a leadership initiative of the Washington County Community Foundation designed to help local charities secure unrestricted financial support for their missions. Over the past 13 years, WCCF Gives has awarded nearly $16 million to Washington County charities!

In 2025, donors generously contributed $2,766 to our organization.  This support went directly to providing legal services to Washington County clients in need of help.

The need for legal aid is growing right here in Washington County.

Last fiscal year, Summit Legal Aid handled 10% more cases in Washington County than the previous year.  These are people in our community facing real legal challenges that can have a lasting impact on their lives.

Our recent community needs assessment confirms that these challenges are growing across our region.  Homelessness increased 28% between 2021 and 2024, while nearly 60% of people who did not seek legal help said they didn’t know where to go for assistance.

In response, Summit Legal Aid is working to strengthen our local presence, expand community outreach and partnerships, and build the capacity to serve more people.

As our communities face growing and increasingly complex civil legal needs, your support helps Summit Legal Aid meet those needs and ensure that our neighbors have access to justice when they need it most.
