Provides legal advice and representation to qualified individuals up to 187.5% of the FPL.  Public assistance, such as medical, food, cash, or utility assistance, is available for many low-income families.  Applicants for services must be screened through our intake process.

The Fair Housing Law Center, in close collaboration with its partners, provides the first and only coordinated effort in the 32-county region of Western Pennsylvania to affirmatively promote through testing, advocacy, counsel, and litigation the rights of the protected classes delineated in the Fair Housing Act.

Provides intensive support to families with an infant born affected by substance exposure, and pregnant women with SUDs or in recovery. They help families overcome barriers to success and overall wellness with things like connecting to providers, replacing vital documents, CYS prevention, advocacy and support for fines/warrants/legal issues, re-establishing benefits, skill building, and creating achievable plans to stabilize and grow as a family.

Provides legal representation in criminal and some motor vehicle cases. Representation for mental health commitments and juvenile cases is provided by court-appointed conflict counsel. Individuals who need community resources may be referred to the community navigator for services and referrals.

The Prothonotary serves as the chief clerk of the Civil Division of the Court of Common Pleas and is responsible for recording all civil procedures before the court. It is the mission of this office to provide accurate recording of all civil documents and to improve, through innovation and technology, the art of record keeping.
